Support cost calculator

What do your repetitive questions cost you?

Most of a support inbox is the same handful of questions asked again and again: where is my order, what is your return window, do you ship here. Put in your own numbers below and see roughly what answering them costs each month, and how much an AI agent could take off your team. The math is transparent and the numbers are yours to change.

$ /hr

An assumption you control. For our own bot it lands near half to two thirds; once your agent is live we measure your real self-served rate and report it, so you can swap this guess for your actual number.

At these numbers
27.5 hoursof answering the same questions, taken off your team every month
That is about $425 a month of freed-up time, after our flat $400 monthly fee.

An estimate from your inputs, not a promise. It counts only the repetitive questions an agent can answer from your own content, values your team's time at the rate you entered, and never assumes the agent replaces a person. The $400 monthly fee is flat whether you get 50 chats or 5,000.

How the math works

No black box. Here is every step.

A savings calculator is only worth trusting if you can see exactly how it got there. Ours multiplies four numbers you gave it, and stops. There is no hidden assumption doing the heavy lifting.

What you spend today

Questions a month, times minutes each, is hours. Value those hours at the hourly cost you entered and you have what these repetitive questions cost you right now. It is your own volume and your own rate, not an industry average.

What the agent takes off

Only the share you set as self-served. The agent answers the questions it can ground in your content and hands the rest to a human, so we count only that share of the hours, never the whole inbox. Set the slider low and the estimate drops with it.

Against a flat fee

The freed time, minus $400 a month. Helpforge is one flat monthly fee, not a per-conversation meter, so a busy month does not raise the bill. If your volume is low the fee can eat the saving, and the calculator says so plainly rather than hiding it.

The honest caveat

The self-served share is a guess until it is measured. No calculator knows your real deflection rate up front. Once an agent is live we report the actual self-served rate from your real chats, so this page is a starting estimate you later replace with your own number.

What it costs

One flat build fee, one flat monthly.

Whatever the calculator says, you see the real thing before you decide: we build a working agent on your actual website first, and you only pay once you want it live.

FAQ

The cost questions, answered honestly.

How does this calculator work?

It takes four numbers you enter: your support questions a month, the minutes it takes to answer one, the hourly cost of whoever answers them, and the share an agent could handle on its own. It multiplies your volume by your handling time to get the hours you spend, values them at your rate, then counts only the self-served share against our flat $400 monthly fee. Every figure comes from your own inputs.

Where does the self-served percentage come from?

It is an assumption you control with the slider, not a fixed claim. For our own agent the real self-served rate tends to land somewhere between a half and two thirds of chats, but yours depends on how repetitive your questions are and how complete your content is. Once your agent is live we measure and report your actual self-served rate, so you can replace the estimate with a real number.

Is the estimate a promise of savings?

No. It is a starting estimate from your inputs and a deflection share you chose, not a guarantee. Real savings depend on your actual volume and how much of it an agent can genuinely answer, which is exactly why we build a free demo on your real site and later report your measured self-served rate rather than asking you to trust a number on a page.

What if the fee is more than I would save?

Then the calculator shows that plainly rather than hiding it. At low volumes the flat $400 monthly can be close to or more than the time you would save, and in that case the win is faster answers around the clock and freed attention, not a raw dollar saving. We would rather tell you that up front than sell you something that does not pay off.

Does an AI agent replace my support team?

No, and the math here never assumes it does. It only counts the repetitive, already-answered questions an agent can take off your team so the humans handle what actually needs a human. The agent refuses what it cannot answer and hands those conversations to a person, with the details carried over.

Why is Helpforge a flat fee instead of per conversation?

Because per-conversation pricing charges you most exactly when you are busiest, which turns a helpful agent into something you ration during a launch or a shipping delay. Our flat $2,500 build and $400 per month do not move with your traffic, so a spike in questions is a good day, not a bigger invoice.
