Your customers should never wonder whose product they're talking to.
A support widget that shows up with a stranger's colour, a generic name and a stock icon reads as a bolted-on vendor tool, not part of your product. Helpforge's widget takes its name, greeting, accent colour, light or dark theme and launcher icon from settings you control, so it matches the site it's sitting on.
Every knob is optional. Leave it alone and you get a tasteful default; change one, several, or all six, saved instantly, no code and no ticket to us.
A widget that looks like someone else's software erodes the trust it's supposed to build.
The whole point of a support agent is to feel like part of your business talking to a customer, not a third-party tool dropped on top of it.
A default, unbranded colour and a generic bot name tell a visitor "this is a plugin," even when every answer it gives is accurate. That impression costs trust before the conversation has said a word.
People judge a tool by how it looks before they judge it by what it says.A launcher bubble in a colour that fights your site's own palette is not neutral, it's a visible seam. A visitor notices a jarring colour even if they could not say why the page suddenly feels less finished.
Consistency is invisible when it's right and obvious when it's wrong.A brand with a design system wants to know, before they sign anything, whether the widget can be made to look like theirs rather than like whichever vendor built it.
"Can we brand it?" is a real question in a real evaluation, not a nice-to-have.Six knobs, saved instantly, with a live preview before you commit to anything.
The mechanism, not a promise: this is what the settings screen actually controls.
Set what the assistant is called and the first line it opens with. Leave either blank and it falls back to a sensible default rather than showing an empty label.
The one line a visitor reads before they've typed anything.Pick any colour and the header, launcher bubble and every accented control in the widget switch to it, set from a single colour value the whole chrome shares, not five separate places that can drift out of sync.
One colour, one source, the whole widget follows.Force light, force dark, or let the widget follow each visitor's own device preference. Unset stays light, which is what the widget has always rendered, so nothing changes for a client who never touches the setting.
Matches a dark-mode site instead of punching a bright rectangle into it.Bottom left or bottom right, and a speech bubble, help mark, sparkle or headset glyph for the resting launcher. Useful when something else already occupies your usual corner, or when a different glyph reads more like "support" for your audience.
Small details that stop the launcher from colliding with your own UI.The settings screen renders the same header, bubble and launcher the real widget uses, updating as you type, so you see the result before it goes live rather than saving blind and checking your site afterward.
What you see in the preview is what visitors see next.A branding field is still an input, and it gets treated like one.
Every one of these settings can be set by anyone with access to your dashboard, so each is validated as if it might not be, the same rule this product applies to a visitor's own words.
The accent is written into the page's styling, so it's checked against a strict hex pattern on the server and again in the widget itself before it's ever used. Anything that isn't a valid 3, 4, 6 or 8-digit hex colour, including a stray value that was never meant to reach that field, falls back to the brand default instead of being used as typed.
A hex colour cannot contain the characters that would let it break out of a stylesheet, which is exactly why only hex is accepted. You choose from four named glyphs the widget already knows how to draw. There is no way to upload an image or paste a URL for the launcher, so there is nothing there for a hostile value to do.
Choosing from a list can't be turned into an attack the way accepting a file can. Both are length-capped on the server, trimmed and collapsed to one line, and shown to visitors as plain text, never parsed as markup. A name or greeting cannot carry hidden formatting or grow into a wall of text visitors have to scroll past.
A short label stays a short label, however it was typed.Do nothing and it still looks intentional. Dial it in and it looks like yours.
Leave every setting alone
Every field has a default: a neutral accent, a plain name, light theme, the bottom-right corner, the speech-bubble icon. A client who never opens the settings screen gets a clean, deliberate widget from day one, not a placeholder that looks unfinished.
Set every knob yourself
Open the dashboard, pick your accent, name it, write the greeting, choose the theme and icon, save, and the live widget updates immediately. No developer, no request to us, no waiting on a release.
One flat build fee, one flat monthly.
Branding is part of the agent we build for you, not a higher tier. Every plan gets the full settings screen from day one.

Custom branding, answered honestly.
Can I change how the AI chatbot widget looks?
Yes. The bot's name, its greeting, the accent colour, light or dark theme, the launcher's corner and its icon are all settings you control from the dashboard, saved instantly with no code changes and no request to us.
Can I use my exact brand colour?
Yes, any valid hex colour. It's checked against a strict hex pattern both on the server and in the widget itself; anything that isn't a real hex value falls back to a safe default instead of being used as typed, since the colour is written directly into the widget's styling.
Does the widget support dark mode?
Yes. You can force light, force dark, or set it to follow each visitor's own device preference automatically. Leaving it unset keeps the light theme the widget has always used, so nothing changes unless you choose to change it.
Can I upload my own launcher icon?
Not as a custom image. You choose from four built-in glyphs (a speech bubble, a help mark, a sparkle or a headset), each already drawn into the widget, rather than a file upload, which is also why there's no injection surface there for a hostile value to exploit.
Do I see the result before it goes live?
Yes. The settings screen shows a live preview using the same header, message bubble and launcher the real widget renders, so you see exactly what a visitor will see before you save.
Is branding included, or is it extra?
Included. It's part of the flat $2,500 build and $400 a month, not a higher tier or an add-on.
